Michelle Dinsmoor Consultant Highlight

My background is in the semiconductor industry where I led a team of engineers focused on factory capacity planning, infrastructure and tool construction projects, and technology transfer.   It was especially important to have comprehensive schedules and plans for our work, build constructive working relationships with our suppliers, contractors, and factory customers, and be willing to adjust and reset when the inevitable curveballs came our way.  All while not forgetting to have fun in the process!

"I tend to be a perfectionist; I think this has gotten worse as I have gotten older.  I need to remind myself that sometimes there is such a thing as “good enough”!"

Tell us about the foundation for success when working on a project.

To achieve amazing results in business today – so many things need to go right.  The foundation for success when working on complex projects starts with having clearly documented plans and goals, a trusting working relationship with your team, and the willingness to reflect and improve processes and methods along the way.   As a project management/process improvement consultant for AJC, I strive to help our client’s reach their project goals, highlight how their processes could work better for them, and maybe have a little bit of fun along the way…

What’s a fun fact about you that people probably wouldn’t know?

Even though my high school days are in the distant past, I still play the flute in a marching band (The One More Time Around Again Marching Band).  We march in 2 parades each year during the Portland Rose Festival.

Would you rather go 30 days without your phone or your entire life without dessert?

Definitely go 30 days without my phone; to me, that sounds like a vacation!
